Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Lima

Arrival in Lima, reception at the airport, and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02: Lima Cultural Excursion (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.

We begin our tour from the hotel, heading to the historic center, where we observe the Huaca Pucllana Archaeological Complex (no entry required).
Upon arrival, we take a walk through the historic center from Plaza San Martín to Plaza Mayor, highlighting the architecture, history, churches, and shops.

Visit the Casa del Oídor (House of the Auditor) where you will experience a tasting of different intensities of Peruvian cocoa. Visit the Convent of Santo Domingo, a testament to the importance of Catholicism during the viceroyalty.

Observation of the Changing of the Guard (subject to Government Palace scheduling).

Day 03: Arrival in Cusco (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At a scheduled time, transfer from your hotel to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, reception at the airport, and transfer to your hotel. Free afternoon.

Day 04: Excursion to the city of Cusco and 04 archaeological sites (B)

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning.

In the afternoon, we will have a guided tour of the city of Cusco and four nearby archaeological sites. Our tour will begin with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral-Basilica, which houses magnificent works of art and a collection of paintings belonging to the Cusco school. We will then visit the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), which was built during the Inca period for their principal deity, the Sun God. It currently houses impressive examples of Inca architecture, as well as the Convent of Santo Domingo. We will continue our excursion to the outskirts of the city to visit four archaeological sites located near the city. We will begin by visiting the imposing Sacsayhuaman, where you can see stones up to 9 meters high and weighing 120 tons fitted together with incredible precision. Just 1 kilometer away is the Inca ceremonial center of Qenqo. Following Puka Pukara, believed to have been a structure intended for military and administrative control, we\'ll conclude our tour by visiting Tambomachay, where we\'ll see one of the finest examples of Inca water manipulation skills. At the end of the tour, we\'ll be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 05: Excursion to the citadel of Machu Picchu (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Early in the morning, pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the train station to board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes (a town located at the foot of the mountain where Machu Picchu is located). You will be greeted by your local guide and then board the bus that will take you to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where we arrive after 30 minutes. You will take a guided tour that lasts approximately 2.5 hours, where you will experience the magnificence of the enigmatic citadel. At the end of the tour, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where lunch will be included at a local restaurant. To return, please arrive at the train station 30 minutes before the train\'s departure. Return to Cusco, where you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Day 06: Return home (D)

Breakfast at the hotel.

At a scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board your flight to Lima and return to your country of origin.

• Bring the same document you presented to the agency, since train tickets and admission to Machu Picchu will be issued with that information.
• On all train services to Machu Picchu, passengers may only carry hand luggage (backpack, purse, or briefcase) weighing no more than 5kg / 11lb on the train to/from Machu Picchu.
